Yeah, it is not the political ideal but it is the more-or-less accepted behavior. What I am watching for is the real dirty politics - FRAUDULENT VOTING! Given the past several elections like;

Washington State in 2004 where Democrat King County kept finding more votes for their candidate, Christine Gregoire, until she won and

Minnesota Senate 2008 where repeated counts and ACORN voters gave Al Franken the 60th seat.

John Fund's column in Monday's Wall Street Journal gave ample evidence of what can happen in New Jersey with it's Democrat local control and thus local counting. As others have pointed out, it may end up not on who votes but who counts the votes!
