I don’t see why this is a big deal. Of COURSE Lieberman risks losing certain perks and privileges if he bucks party discipline hard enough on big issues. Particularly so when the Dems don’t need him to make a majority. (They need him to make 60 votes for cloture, but they may figure, “If he won’t support cloture, screw him.”)

What surprises me is Harkin’s being so open about it, so vulgar.
