TEGUCIGALPA (AFP) — Assailants kidnapped the father of Honduras' acting defense minister Tuesday in a case that immediately took on political overtones amid a bitter, unresolved political crisis.

The kidnapping of Alfredo Jalil, a wealthy businessman and father of acting deputy defense minister Gabo Jalil, followed by just days the murder of a nephew of the country's de facto leader, Roberto Micheletti.

No evidence has been presented linking either case to the rising political tensions over deadlocked diplomatic efforts to end the crisis set off by the June 28 ouster of President Manuel Zelaya.

But Jalil's wife, who witnessed her husband's kidnapping Tuesday morning, publicly blamed Zelaya, calling on him to "stop generating chaos" and to "order" her husband's release.

“Unidentified attackers overnight on Sunday in Tegucigalpa also shot and killed army Colonel Concepcion Jimenez, officials said.

Jimenez, who managed a company that supplies uniforms to the Honduran army, died in hospital after he was gunned down outside his home, Cerrato said.”

Typical Obama/Chavez thuggery.

The democrat party supported Honduras communists will escalate their terror as the November election approaches.

I suspect that many Zelaya supporters are going to start turning up dead. Revenge is inevitable.

Expect it. Expect manufactured “civil disobedience.” Obama must secure control. His ineligibility, if the Constitution is still respected, will mean that every act, appointment, treaty, he signed while in office becomes invalid. Billions of dollars and thousands of fortunes made by mobsters are at stake. He will not have the protections of the office to keep him from prison. The Constitutional lecturer knows what it means, and doesn't like it. He must destroy it's validity, and has already by holding office, having told the world that he was born a British subject. The world accepted. But most of them didn't know our history or our laws.
