A nationwide call for volunteers. New York is a long drive for me from Florida. But I though I would post this. I’m sure we can find some FReepers closer to upstate NY to help out.

Has everyone seen this: “The Most Important Number in Politics Today.”

Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal). He has said he will caucus with the Republicans if elected, so if you are concerned about who he would support for speaker, or whether he will get committee assignments, he will be on board with the Conservative Republicans.

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

• Pro choice
• In favor of gay marriage
• In favor of Employee Free Choice Act (and has said she would co-sponsor Card Check legislation)
• In favor of the Stimulus
• In favor of Bank Bailouts

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.

There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the House who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Pete Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year.

Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

I think Sarah Palin needs to get down there and stump for Hoffman. By endorsing Hoffman Sarah, inadvertently, made the race Sarah versus the Democrat and the Republican candidates. Sarah’s credibility as a conservative voice is now on the line and she needs to pull out all the stops. If the Democrat wins Sarah will be blamed, and if the Republican wins Sarah will be named insignificant. The only way for this thing to work out is if Sarah rallies some major support for Hoffman by stumping for him. With massive emotional support Hoffman could pull of an upset.

Newt Gingrich was on one of the Fox shows this morning going on and on and on about outsiders coming in and trying to take over the election process and push out the so called republican candidate in favor of Hoffman.

I think he was talking about Sarah Palin and he sounded kinda hateful to me about it. Kept pushing the outsiders coming in taking over point until I wanted to smack my TV and scream; “ENOUGH ALREADY!!”

If the Hoffman Campaign is reading this, I strongly suggest they mobilize an offsite augmentation of the campaign, for 95% of us who CAN NOT go all the way to upstate New York, but DO have some time to spare and want to help Mr. Hoffman cross over the victory line.

They can first authenticate volunteers some way, and give them campaign work to do from their own computers in their own homes, anywhere from coast to coast, at any time of the day.

That would be: a) those with Skype so they don't run their phone bills up, start calling voters in the NY district to get them to the polls or remind them; b) those that can write, start hitting local letters to the editor and blogs; c) those that can cyber-canvass senior citizen homes or shut-ins throughout the 23rd, find out who will vote for Doug, get a name and address, and forward to the campaign so on election day they can get vans and cars out to run those folks to the polls and back home; d) Freep polls, e) call and write RNC in D.C. to keep putting pressure on them to back off; f) call and write major national GOP officials in their own districts who can be called upon to ask Ms. Scuzzafava to drop out of the race, and g) many more I have not thought about. Let's take this baby NATIONALLY!!

So much of this can be outsourced by the Hoffman Campaign over the internet throughout the United States to thousands of us, to every city and town online in an organized and tactical fashion. It is best to donate $$$ ASAP ONLINE (not by check and mail which takes time) (which many of us, self included have now done), but if one cannot be there personally this/next week in New York, I am sure even our homes, kitchen tables, wherever we Freep online, can be turned into mini cyber Hoffman campaign offices of one...you can even do this in pajamas if you want. I hope they have a team to organize such a cyber army of conservatives across the land focusing in 24/7 just on this Congressional district.
