Fox should replay Beck at 11PM. He is sardonic, sarcastic, baiting, hilarious, and absolutely spot on. He would rival any local “news” show at that time. Maybe they should run him at 11:30 on the entertainment network. He might beat Letterman.
They really need to move Beck’s live show into prime time. Keeping him at 5:00PM ET would be like the Phillies batting Ryan Howard 7th in their lineup.
FOX would be extremely fiscally smart if they put Beck on at 11 or 11:30.
The network late night programing is very lame now except for Craig Ferguson...O’Really doesn’t keep me awake enough to watch the sponsors. And that’s the name of the game $$$
That could be, but they aren’t saying it, but Beck, because of the boycott, does not produce solid revenue. They are loading his show with Gold sponsorships, and all but one seem to be PI (in that case, Fox is paid “per inquiry”).
It’s a dicey way to go...and is used where there is plenty of inventory and no solid advertising dollars available.
Oh, and BTW, frozen ‘Peg snowballs atcha, eh?
OK, but won’t the eyeballs win out in the end? Replay him at 11 or 11:30 and see what happens. They guy is on fire. He has one of the top three information shows on TV and I don’t know what the other two are. Every time the administration mentions him, interest in him grows.
Yeah, eventually the eyeballs will win out, but it may take a little time.
Red Eye should be on at Midnight or 1am.
You are absolutely correct about that - now there are at least two of us who understand that. It is too bad and I would hope that the sponsors will dribble back over time. But so far I have seen very little of that. The only decent sponsor that he had when I did a survey last week was (horrors) AARP.
Also you should note that you may catch some flak if you say anything even a little negative about Beck. I sure did. And I'm a big Beck fan. But to repeat, Beck is not making big bucks for Fox despite his super duper ratings. The sponsors pay the bills and Beck's sponsors are very second class. Hope that changes. Until it does I don't see Fox News making the obvious move to put Beck in Shep's spot at 7 PM ET.
The money will come, but it may take awhile. Beck’s numbers will assure that.
I’m not the biggest Beck fan in here, by any means. And in fact, I once posted that watching him was too much like watching a tele-evangelist. And yeah, I got pounced on...not too bad, though.
It’s not that I don’t like what he says, it’s just that I never liked being preached at.
That is a cool idea. I wish they would give it a try. It would really send the lefties over the edge if he beat out Letterman and Letterman would be his own worse enemy by attacking Beck.
I don’t like being preached at either.
I love that show.Should replace whoraldo.
