Michael Moore declares jihad on capitalism

Michael Moore today posted his "15 Things Every American Can Do Right Now" on his DailyKos diary. I'll analyze it here to spare you a visit to the Kos Kidz.

Let's see what Mr. Moore wants us to do...

You've Seen the Movie -- Now It's Time to ACT!
Shock! Here comes Moore's real agenda which the MSM seems all too eager to ignore.
2. Congress must join the civilized world and expand Medicare For All Americans. A single, nonprofit source must run a universal health care system that covers everyone.
No doubt Mr. Moore hopes Obama's "choice and competition" is just a Trojan horse for "civilized" single payer health care.

5. Save this fragile planet and declare that all the energy resources above and beneath the ground are owned collectively by all of us. Just like they do it in Sarah Palin's socialist Alaska. We only have a few decades of oil left. The public must be the owners and landlords of the natural resources and energy that exists within our borders or we will descend further into corporate anarchy. And when it comes to burning fossil fuels to transport ourselves, we must cease using the internal combustion engine and instruct our auto/transportation companies to rehire our skilled workforce and build mass transit (clean buses, light rail, subways, bullet trains, etc.) and new cars that don't contribute to climate change. (For more on this, here's a proposal I wrote in December.) Demand that General Motors' de facto chairman, Barack Obama, issue a JFK man-on-the-moon-style challenge to turn our country into a nation of trains and buses and subways. For Pete's sake, people, we were the ones who invented (or perfected) these damn things in the first place!!
Sure thing, Mr. Moore, right after you, Al Gore and all the other fat ass limousine liberals stop burning fossil fuels. Better yet, take Rush Limbaugh's advice and put your money where your mouth is and put your own carbon based life form six feet under. Judging by Mr. Moore's girth, he's consuming more than his fair share of the food chain already. Guess he lives by the motto: "To my fat ass according to my wants, to the rest of you peons: ride the bus and eat bread and water!"

2. Take over your local Democratic Party. Remember how much fun you had with all those friends and neighbors working together to get Barack Obama elected? YOU DID THE IMPOSSIBLE. It's time to re-up! Get everyone back together and go to the monthly meeting of your town or county Democratic Party -- and become the majority that runs it! There will not be many in attendance and they will either be happy or in shock that you and the Obama Revolution have entered the room looking like you mean business. President Obama's agenda will never happen without mass grass roots action -- and he won't feel encouraged to do the right thing if no one has his back, whether it's to stand with him, or push him in the right direction. When you all become the local Democratic Party, send me a photo of the group and I'll post it on my website.
Ahh.... so in Moore's worldview, he's helping carry out the real Obama agenda. Well, if we had a real media watchdog in this country, they'd ask Obama if he agrees that he and Michael Moore have the same agenda. Given that Moore's movie is playing on movie screens around the country, I'd say it would be a fair question to ask Obama. After all, Republicans are assaulted every day by reporters, stalkers and bloggers demanding to know if they agree with nutjobs. Moore is a nutjob, but he's a nutjob with a large audience, and I demand to know if Obama agrees with any of his extremist rants.

4. Show up. Picket the local branch of a big bank that took the bailout money. Hold vigils and marches. Consider civil disobedience. Those town hall meetings are open to you, too (and there's more of us than there are of them!). Make some noise, have some fun, get on the local news. Place "Capitalism Did This" signs on empty foreclosed homes, closed down businesses, crumbling schools and infrastructure. (You can download them from my website.)
There you have it... Michael Moore has declared jihad against capitalism.
4. Unionize your workplace so that you and your coworkers have a say in how your business is run. Here's how to do it (more info here). Nothing is more American than democracy, and democracy shouldn't be checked at the door when you enter your workplace. Another way to Americanize your workplace is to turn your business into a worker-owned cooperative. You are not a wage slave. You are a free person, and you giving up eight hours of your life every day to someone else is to be properly compensated and respected.
Worker owned cooperatives? Wage slaves? Could he be more patently obvious in revealing his outright Communist agenda? The MSM gives this guy a microphone and he gets invited on Leno and they never, ever call him out for his overtly Communist rhetoric. God I miss when we had Democrats like Harry Truman and Jack Kennedy. You know, Democrats that hated Communists. Just because the Soviet Union collapsed doesn't mean Marxist ideology is gone. Indeed, it's growing stronger than anyone yet realizes. The threat is real.

4. Unionize your workplace so that you and your coworkers have a say in how your business is run. Here's how to do it (more info here).

If it is like most corporations, you could get a say in how the company is run by buying a block of shares. But then if you owned the company you wouldn't want to put up with any Michael Moore style anticapitalist crap.

Nothing is more American than democracy,

Well, freedom is. If I had to choose between being free under a government I had no say in, and being a slave to whoever happened to get 50.1% of the vote I would choose being free.

Another way to Americanize your workplace is to turn your business into a worker-owned cooperative. You are not a wage slave. You are a free person, and you giving up eight hours of your life every day to someone else is to be properly compensated and respected.

That's called a paycheck. If you don't like the numbers on it then find somewhere else. If no one wants to pay you what you think you are worth, then maybe no one wants to hire you just for your inflated self esteem. Form your own company and run it however you want... but don't be too surprised when your customers try to treat you the same way your old boss did.

And I repeat this for anyone who uses the self-contradictory phrase "wage slave":

The rotter who simpers that he sees no difference between the power of the dollar and the power of the whip, ought to learn the difference on his own hide-- as, I think, he will. - Francisco d'Anconia in Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

Interesting post. Watch for the phrase Medicare for everyone - I think you’ll be hearing that phrase a lot.

I wonder if he’s going to do like nobama and hand out Michael Moore money to the poor. Then he can be “just like them” and not worry about declaring jihad on capitalism.

Beck needs to task his team with some deep investigating of Mr. Moore.
