The Head Czar is Fiddling While Our Troops are Under Attack

The Commander in Chief continues his never ending campaign for Adored Leader of the Free World while General McChrystal waits (week 8 and counting) for the President to decide on a strategy in Afghanistan. Those of you who assumed the question of strategy was settled when Obama appointed McChrystal in March after an exhaustive review of the Afghan situation are understandably confused. So confident was Obama in McChrystal, he hand-picked him to replace the previous commander. Selecting the general was a good decision. He is a tried and decorated soldier. So what are we waiting for?

The President has been understandably busy. Giving speeches for one. Not counting his failure before the Olympic Committee in Copenhagen, the president has crisscrossed the country making remarks, speaking to groups and attending DNC fundraisers (four in the last few days). These are no ordinary fundraisers, mind you, these are $34,000 per couple gala's.

Where is the decency? What about decorum? Not to mention leadership.

Imagine the outrage if President Bush were in the same situation. Unemployment at historical highs, a deficit that is growing so fast it is unfathomable to the average citizen, soldiers fighting in two wars and $34,000 per couple fundraising dinners? I think not. President Bush gave up golf once he committed troops to Iraq because he was worried about appearances. That's good leadership.

Our current Fiddler-in-Chief, has taken multiple vacations, flown his wife to "date night" in New York City for dinner, commanded an unsuccessful boondoggle to Copenhagen, sat as a guest on late night comedy shows and attended multiple fundraising soirees. That's just bad leadership.

He’s just voting “present” like he’s always done. And his lovers all know it because they knew it when they voted for him.

Obama is not "doing nothing." He has already sent more troops there than Bush ever had. In his eight months of office, Obama has authorized more than three times the number of strikes in Pakistan than Bush did in his entire time.

The problem is not the Obama is "doing nothing." The problem is that he is drawing us further into this quagmire. The solution is to bring the troops home, NOT send even more.

We used to have a very nice district court judge here in Bexar County (San Antonio), who on more than one occasion, after hearing oral argument on some motion or other, would say, “I’m just not going to rule. Please go outside and try to settle this thing”. This is what I hear from the CINC.

You mean to tell me this ass sent a message to the field commander to strike. This ass doesn't know what the hell is going on. The commanders in the field are ordering these strikes. What is the matter with you. These are battle field operations not a political piece of garbage and these strikes have been going on for years.

He’s the president, he personally appointed a controversial commander who helped cover up details of the Pat Tillman killing (McChrystal) and hence it is Obama’s war. He owns it lock stock and barrel. The strikes having been going for years but have increased on our new warmongering president. If you have facts to the contrary, put up or shut up.

Obama never meant anything to me BUT now he's actually making "Spicoli" in Ridgmont High sound smart....I bet Spicoli probably knew the Pledge of Allegiance( not in real life though)...first thing I ever hear Obama say out loud is miff the swearing in speech, apologizing to the house of Fudd, and the muzzie call to prayer.
