From my point of view, it looked like he was praying with him and when the player got up, he went for a handshake and when the mascot got dissed, the gopher turned and did a tear.
Either way, you should just respect the guy and not interfere with a person praying.
That’s what I saw too. The player looked like he was in his own little world and just didn’t really see what the mascot was trying to do...in his defense.
That was my impression too. But who knows for sure if he was for real or just going thru the motion!
