Sign in Nicaragua: Attention Nicaraguans

Huevos (balls) are sold in Honduras

Contact Mr. Micheletti

1) Zelaya changed his mind - Mel now wants amnesty. One of the main reasons the dialogue is kind of stalled is because Mel Zelaya is now asking for amnesty for himself and for all of his people. This would include amnesty for everyone within Honduras and internationally and might be for several reasons, one of the reasons being....

3) The US may be changing their minds - Micheletti's people are saying that they are getting mixed signals from the US State Department. Some people tell them that the elections will be recognized no matter what and another group tells them that the only way elections will be recognized is if Mel is reinstated.

6) Mel wants to change the constitution - Zelaya is also suggesting that the next congress should reform the constitution in order to add a senate to the Honduran system of government. He says that it would be similar to the United States. There would be a lower house (the current 128-member congress which is determined due to the population of the states) and a senate in which each state would have 5 senators and that all ex-presidents would be Senators for Life.

Sounds like Washington is being shamed into recognizing the upcoming elections.

And that Zelaya is now worrying about how to come back in the country to live and avoid prosecution for his actions while President.

This sounds good for a change.

They need to ignore Zelaya until after the election. Let the incoming president decide what to do about him. And let the Brazilians continue to feed the guy until then. They asked for it.

Or he can step outside and get that fair trial he wanted.

Exactly the problem that faced Lucias Cornelius Sulla, Gaius Marius, and Julius Cesar. Each of them ended up sacking Rome and murdering their political opponents.

Zalaya will not exit stage left without first attempting to provoke the legitimate government of Honduras with violence.

"Bring it all down, man". The Left is the same all over.

Chismes riquísimos! Ol’ Mel can’t stop himself from messing with the Constitution, even when he is sleeping on a couch in the Brazilian embassy.

Zelaya should get him a nice house on the beach in North La Ceiba....keep his mouth shut and live happily everafter.

If he does otherwise, he needs to be hung.

Yep, that appears to be exactly what the Hondurans plan to do.

And out Liar-in-Chief needs to receive most of the blame for siding with the enemies of freedom in the Hemisphere.

You have to give the Hondurans credit for stepping-in and dealing with a Commie takeover. Will we?

It may be gossip, but it has the ring of truth to it.

We will not get that much from the U.S. Media.

I think it very much rings of the truth. They are jolly in the presidential palace because they know that they can just wait out the elections, and have figured out that the BO administration is too incompetent and weak to impose its will. I think the elections will be held, and they will be accepted as valid. End of problem.

Mel can go pound sand.
Applying the marxist rules of government is a non-starter in Banana Republic countries.

You lost, Dumbo.
Suck it up!

8) In a last ditch effort, Zelaya and his thugs plan to "unleash hell", in the form of riots and protests. They probably want a big show for the UN Human Rights folks who arrived today for three weeks. There are rumors that some may be armed. Yesterday, Chávez encouraged arming of the resistance

Zaelaya is importing his "thugs" from other countries and paying them from his drug fortune.

Yep, you can bet that Chavez does his best to encourage trouble.

Created chaos to allow the lefties to seize control, with the help of their leftie friends at the U.N. and in the U.S. government (Dept. State etc).

I wounder if Obozo is sending his Acorn buddies to Honduras.

that thing of the senate is aimed to gather support from ex presidents. When he becomes king, as he thinks, he will have no congress, senate, supreme court or anything that can regulate him.
