Here is video of Gov. Mike Huckabee last night saying Rush Limbaugh has been wronged by the baseless attacks against him to prevent him from being part of an ownership group to buy the St. Louis Rams. Huckabee defended Limbaugh, and at the same time took a shot at him by asserting that during his own Presidential campaign, Limbaugh and others accused Huckabee of being a "big-Government Liberal," an attack Huckabee likened to what Rush has just been through.
From the tenor of his commentary, it is unclear whether his main point was to defend Rush, or to defend himself. At any rate, I doubt Huckabee will win any points with conservatives for these comments. . . . (VIDEO)

The “Huck” has no need to defend Limbaugh. He’s a big boy and can take care of himself ~ and eventually he’ll quit whining about it.
Christian socialist, it’s that simple.
So, did Huck actually provide a quote from Rush that was wrong? Or did he just whine about how Rush was able to identify him as a big-government liberal even though Huck kept SAYING he wasn’t?
I wonder what Huck thinks a “big-governemnt liberal” is?
You can be a Christian or a Socialist but not both. End of story.
It’s hard to dislike Huck, but he’s part of the media now and this is what happens when a respectable republican resides on and around the edge of rinoism.
Let me just remind you that when Huckabee first came on the national scene, he was in favor of the welfare state. He may have been a religious conservative, but he wasn’t any friend of capitalism or free markets. He wasn’t a supporter of low taxes. He played the McCain game of trying to manipulate the media by saying that government was our friend. Since then, he’s learned that it doesn’t get the votes in the GOP, so he’s toned it down. But you can best believe that if he ever gets the nomination, he’ll once again be a friend of the welfare state.
Just for the sake of clarification to those who might not understand what being a "Christian" is, you most certain can be a "socialist christian!"
It's called being a Bad Christian...
Thats funny .. hucster, the wishy washy moron had zero respect before he became part of the media. It is VERY easy to dislike the huckster ... look at the man (loose terminology) and his track record. A RINO’S RINO ... always has ben always will be.
Just like his campaign, always whining that he’s not treated fairly. Man, this guy is annoying as hell. Oh, and a big government liberal, just like Rush said. Worse, he bastardizes Christianity for the sake of political expediency. This Christian socialist can take a hike.
Huckabee is another RINO.
Excellent observation.
I hope Sarah kicks his ass.
Limbaugh and others accused Huckabee of being a “big-Government Liberal,”
He’s also a big scam artist, IMHO.

Wedding registries in the names of Gov. Mike Huckabee and his wife, Janet, have been set up at two department store chains in advance of the Huckabees move out of the Governors Mansion into a private home.
The term-limited governor leaves office in January, and friends of Janet Huckabee created the registries at Dillards and Target stores to help facilitate their transition to private life, Huckabee spokeswoman Alice Stewart said Friday.
The Huckabees purchased a 7,000-square-foot home in North Little Rock this year.
Some ladies who are friends of Janets are giving her a housewarming party, Stewart said.

Gov., wife to renew vows Defends using state funds for event
Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - November 9, 2004
Author: James Jefferson Associated Press
LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Huckabee said Monday that he and his wife, Janet , would renew their wedding vows along with 1,000 other couples at a mass covenant marriage ceremony on Valentines Day.
The event will be at North Little Rocks Alltel Arena.
The governor, a former Baptist minister, defended using taxpayer money to promote the ceremony and cover some of its costs.
We believe its an important enough event to use this time and resources for it because, quite frankly, were spending an enormous amount of money dealing with the consequences of marriages that dont work out, the governor said.
Huckabee was joined by a Christian radio broadcaster who urged pastors to ban noncovenant marriage ceremonies from their churches. Covenant marriages require premarital counseling and a mandatory two-year waiting period before divorce.

Huckabee did not disclose the total cost for the Valentines Day event, which will include an appearance by Grammy-winning gospel singer CeCe Winans, but said most of the cost would be covered by contributions from participating churches.

GOV. HUCKABEE MISUSED FUNDS, EX-AIDE CLAIMS
Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - October 23, 1998
Author: Joan I. Duffy The Commercial Appeal Little Rock Bureau
Gov. Mike Huckabee improperly supplemented his $67,000 annual salary with a $60,000-a-year account designed for maintaining and operating the governors mansion, the mansions former administrator charged Thursday.
Kamala Williams, fired from the Governors Office last spring, three months before vesting in the state employee retirement system, also accused Huckabee of using state employees and state equipment on his campaign and personal business.
``Mike Huckabee presents himself as the ultimate in integrity, but the truth is substantially different than that, Williams said in an interview. ``Yes, people will think of me as a disgruntled ex-employee, but I didnt say anything that cant be documented.
Williams provided memos and computer printouts she said documents the use of the governors mansion fund for family meals, vacation groceries and personal items ranging from candy and balloons for Huckabee s daughter, Sarah, to nine pairs of panty hose for the first lady. Williams told The Commercial Appeal that Huckabee s older son, John Mark, used his fathers state credit card for personal purchases and the mansion account paid to repair a broken window on younger son Davids pickup.
The governors mansion account was created by a 1953 law that restricted its use ``for payment of upkeep of the governors mansion and grounds. Difficulties in accounting led to the practice of using the fund for all mansion groceries, including food for the governor and his family. Previous governors routinely reimbursed the fund for strictly personal items, such as dog food or contact lens solution, that wouldnt be used for routine mansion operations.
Use of the account was further restricted by a constitutional amendment in 1993. The amendment increased the salaries of constitutional officers and did away with what had been called public relations accounts, which had been used to supplement personal income.
Republican Huckabee , who faces Democrat Bill Bristow Nov. 3, was campaigning in Texarkana Thursday. Campaign manager Rex Nelson said the governor had no comment on the allegations.
``I can tell you she (Williams) is not a credible individual, Nelson said.
Questions about Huckabee s personal finances have dogged him since he entered politics in 1992. Complaints were filed with the state Ethics Commission after he put his wife on his campaign payroll, hired his own public relations firm for campaign business and leased his own airplane to his campaign. He also has been questioned about a private organization, Action America, which collected money from secret donors and paid Huckabee to give speeches.

Unfortunately you can be a Christian and a Socialist. Many main stream protestant churches (including Presbyterian USA) as well as Catholic Churches and Jewish Temples donate to Acorn, thinking they are doing a good deed-they are not. Many are pro amnesty, thinking they are doing God’s work. The Salvation Army is one of very few Christian Organizations who refuses to support pro-amnesty and therefore does not give money to socialistic organizations. I give to Salvation Army and they now have a new donation store I will support. Socialism has creapt in everytwhere. Check out Jim Robb’s Numbers USA clipped below for a complete explanation.
NumbersUSA Helps Show Church Leaders that Amnesty is NOT Religious Charity
Some churches are listenimg
This is Jim again, speaking for the NumbersUSA team.
I have some new information for you, plus some things you can do about it.
Did you know that Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) held a mass rally on the Capitol’s West Lawn on Tuesday to present the outline of his new mass amnesty / weak enforcement bill? Of course, his proposed legislation includes a path to citizenship for most of the illegal aliens currently in the U.S. Earlier this year, Gutierrez barnstormed the country, speaking to dozens of churches, arguing for more immigration and amnesty.
According to Gutierrez, granting amnesty to illegal aliens is the righteous, merciful, and just thing to do. According Gutierrez, entering America illegally is practically a civil right! Where’s the compassion for America’s millions of unemployed?
You probably already know that many American church groups have recently endorsed an illegal alien amnesty. National church leaders are in near unanimous agreement that amnesty is the right thing to do. However, most rank-and-file church members seem strongly opposed to amnesty.
The Catholic Bishops have endorsed amnesty, followed by various Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Episcopal groups. Most major Jewish groups have also jumped on the amnesty bandwagon.
Last week, National Association of Evangelicals also came out for amnesty. Lots of churches belong to NAE, including the Assemblies of God and the Church of the Nazarene, and the Salvation Army. (Not on board are the Southern Baptists, Mormons, and others.)
Last week, these religious groups testified before a Senate committee asking for a “comprehensive” immigration bill with a mass amnesty, more worker visas, and weak enforcement.
We asked our members to contact their religious groups. We asked members to say, “Keep politics out of the church. Amnesty is not our mission.”
