Barack Obama flew into San Francisco last night for a fundraiser after spending 4 hours in New Orleans.
He didn't expect this-- Hundreds of tea party protesters greeted the president at the St. Francis Hotel.

I can tell you what the Obama supporters that saw this in person said:
“They must have bussed these people in from Fresno; nobody I know
here in San Fran hates Obama. Besides, nobody in San Fran is a racist!
(as anyone that disagrees with Obama is by definition a racist).”
How do I know this? Well, during the protests by FR-types at the
Federal Building in West Los Angeles during the Dubya-Gore imbroglio
of Nov/Dec 2000, the hippies on the other side of the street were
saying “Where did all those conservatives/Reppublicans come from? They
MUST HAVE BEEN BUSSED IN!!!”
I didn’t disabuse them of their paranoic conclusions. And tell them
that my calls to the California Republican offices about these
spontaneous protests was meet with a “you probably shouldn’t be
doing street protests”.
What a bunch of RINOs.
And if this image ever gets wider circulation, I’m sure the Obama stance
will be “It’s photoshopped; it never really happened.”.

“Silly String” (that aerosol item that sprays out strings of, I would
guess, some sort of light-weight polymer)?
But I think that’s illegal in California, well, at least Los Angeles.
I think it got banned because city sanitation crews got tired of
cleaning it up after the usual Halloween (and probably Gay Pride)
street bacchanalias (sp?) in West Hollywood.
PS: I AM NOT suggesting that news crews should be assaulted with
“Silly String”.
It was just a consideration of a THEORETICAL non-violent way to
get their attention.

Here’s text from FOX’s email to us... word for word - cut and pasted...
“This is Lee Kushnir from Fox News Channel in NYC. I have been trying to get through to you guys, there is no answer. Im hoping to work out a story regarding the Atlanta event you will be holding in front of CNN on Saturday, and id need to talk to one of you right away in order to make this happen. We’d really like this story. Please email me back as soon as possible with your best contact info.”
We complied and they contacted Atlanta folks and coordinated.
Lee’s response... after talking to Atlanta... word for word - cut and pasted
“Spoke to her—she is gerat”
Atlanta was a go on their end.
Then FOX cancelled this AM - “saying lots of other things had come up.”
Maybe since Ted Turner has mended fences with Murdock and now wants to control CNN again, the story got squelched? (Murdock not wanting to embarrass his re-found friend)
Or, at best they seem to think this is NOT newsworthy?
