I actually did do a cursory search of FR. I had to do it through Google, since FR doesn't have a text search, but a good selection of keywords brought the result count down to a practical level.
No hits, though. Several results pointing to this thread, and to this thread, but none to any posts supporting your recollection. Hence the skepticism.

I have spent dozens and dozens and dozens of hours reading, since early summer 2008, reading. I did my homework. You haven’t done yours.
Read up, and you’ll find it, or you could try asking one of the more knowledgeable freepers like Beckwith or Fred Nerks about it, although whether they’ll want to bother with you or not I have no idea.
