I read that the “correct” Arabic spelling of Barack is Barak and that after his visits to Africa, he decided to use this spelling. But, then again, “Barack” apparently means something special in Malaysian, for whatever it’s worth.
So you're suggesting that his parents named him "Barak Hussein Obama II" even though his dad's name (as evidenced by the divorce paperwork) was "Barack"? His marriage license says "Barack." Even if you don't want to rely on the COLB, the recently discosed index data from Hawaii that Leo Donofrio's been plugging says that his name is "Barack" and his dad's name is "Barack."
