Time for a Lee Atwater Republican to step up.

For Atwater, politics wasn’t personal; it was just about winning by disemboweling your opponent and then desecrating his grave.

For that to happen, the republicans need to stop fearing the press. I remember how the media isolated & smeared Atwater & reported his "last words" lamenting how nasty he had been to those poor democrats. All uncorroborated, as usual.

There are plenty of assets the GOP could use to get their word out - many more than were available to Reagan. Whats lacking is the courage, unfortunately.
