Rather a world in disorder.

I hate to give you all such a big homework assigment on the weekend but, please take thee time to read at least this post. Powerlineblog first brought this to may attention.

Charles Krauthammer is often featured on this blog. He is insightful, his message clear, easy to grasp, always provocative, sometimes frighteningly so. This is just such a case. First Krauthammer on Obama’s dismissal of “American Exceptionalism”. In a nutshell, if the young President had his way, and he’s trying very hard, even the idea of American exceptionalism will be flushed down the memory hole.

In other words, world wide Anarchy. The UN will certainly be busy, but alas, when the world economy crashes, so will the UN. The dues money is based upon economies. Without a thriving economy, the UN will be dissipated.

Krauthammer has made a Freudian slip (or perhaps it wasn’t a slip) when he used the term New World Order, The NWO has always been a key goal of his neocon confederates.

I think you are reaching.

Krauthammer doesn't give a sh!t about conspiracy theories...he's just making a living commenting on the crazy nature of American politics.

And for that matter, the neo-cons IMHO don't care about where the world is headed so much as they care about conservatism and Israel.

We're all gonna die relatively soon so only idiots and narcissistic fools care about legacy and who rules the world.

I dont always agree with Charles, but yes Obama wants a new order. A flat playing field except that all our competitors get to benefit from the fruits of western culture and technology.
As he said, a contraction of America, while handing the keys of our labor to “his people” people who will never achieve the dreams he falsely sells them.

He ultimately wishes to degrade us all, with backstabbing and fighting while he rules and tosses the world crumbs of hope.

If we forswear world primacy. If we eliminate our ability to defend ourselves, then we can have that ideal liberal country with everyone having equal income and equal vacations and equal everything for so long as it takes for Russia or China or Islam to finish the American Project altogether while fighting it out among themselves to determine who will be the next primary world power.

Long read but very good.

This deliberate choice of strategic retreats to engender good feeling is based on the naïve hope of exchanges of reciprocal goodwill with rogue states. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that the theory--as policy--has demonstrably produced no strategic advances. But that will not deter the New Liberalism because the ultimate purpose of its foreign policy is to make America less hegemonic, less arrogant, less dominant.

In a word, it is a foreign policy designed to produce American decline--to make America essentially one nation among many. And for that purpose, its domestic policies are perfectly complementary.

As many of us here already know, this is no accident, no act of stupidity, this is exactly what the left wants.

I completely agree with your comment.

Obama is either a naif...or he is more devious than anyone on the world stage so far.

I am unsure which Obama is...but he is one or the other. He cannot be both!

Bingo! That is Obama’s model.

Let them eat cake while he and the elites eat steak, expensive wines, and we fight it out on the streets to prevent our families from being murdered.

He is the latter. He is not an uneducated man and he understands the Chicago system well.

I grew up in a place called “Little Chicago”

The people are as poor as church mouses there, and just when they are about to leave, the gubermint tosses them a crumb.

The people scramble for the crumb and shout “Bless You! Bless You!” And with each succeeding year the tally at the end of the ledger gets higher and the people more desperate for a gubermint crumb.

Meanwhile the masters dine in the best steakhouses

It is much easier to bring the rich down than to bring the poor up. Both are where they are for a reason. Taking from the rich is always easy for governments, but changing the lifestyle of the poor to make them successful is a challenge. So whenever you here a Liberal talk about equality remember how they define it and how they intend to reach it.

How do you change a mans spirit to make him productive?

It is simpler to play to someones fears than it is to lead them to independence.

And it is easier to stay KING OF THE HILL without all those pesky independents.

He wants the world hungry and subservient.
America is problematic with its independent spirit. Europeans are happy to be surfs. Arabs bow to anyman that is a river to his people.

re: but changing the lifestyle of the poor to make them successful is a challenge

That's because it requires that you force accountability on them. And accountability is one thing the Left does not believe in, unless it's being required of the Right.

That's what they have against faith-based programs. They SAY it's because of the faith involved, you know, all that separation of church and state and everything, but the real problem they have is that it means judging a thing on results and outcome, not just on intent. They give the needy a prepaid debit card and never check back to make sure the money was used for the proper purposes. It's just on to the next feel-good project.

What a great teachable moment we had this week when Obama got the Nobel Prize for peace. The ultimate liberal organization giving the ultimate liberal what's become the ultimate liberal award.
