As you all know by now, unless you live in a cave, Mr. Obama was just awarded the Noble Peace Prize. The hard to understand part for everyone is that this vote happened approximately 2 weeks after Obama took office. So what did he get the award for? Succeeding George W Bush? Even the White house is wondering if it’s April first.
Is it April first or is it par for the course?
The committee that selected him said he won “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”
Let’s not make this about Obama’s failures and lack of achievements but instead lets discuss the stature of this award. Is it something that is still an honor to receive anymore?

After this award—after 2 weeks in office—I say the Nobel Peace prize will lose its luster. Just what are the backgrounds and agendas of those on the committee who make the final decision? ZERO didn’t do anything during that short time..it was afterwards that he got on a roll,limiting the US defenses.
The sad truth is, it’s not even an honor anymore. Would you accept something that was given to Yasser Arafat? A real man, a real leader would tell them to shove it. Of course this is just more proof of the man Barack Obma Isn’t.
Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. That’s hugh! That’s series! Next you’re going to tell me that Kerry was in Viet Nam.
What in the hell did he deserve to get this? Absolutely nothing.
Kerry was in Viet Nam but his tour was only for Hollywood.
Even if he did do something to deserve this, the award has meant nothing for years now. It’s a joke. Nobel is rolling over in his grave today.

The only notable thing during that time period, as Rush pointed out, was all the flak that Rush got for the "I want him to fail" statement.
Has this like turned into an award for not declaring general war on Florida or something?

This is true, there’s a small percentage of supporters out there that are doing very silly cultish type things. Embarrassing YES THEY CAN be.
