Any idea about how much vitamin D is safe for children?
Not sure of the dosage for children but you can not overdose on Vitamin D that your body produces itself from exposure to sunshine.
Children 6 and over are fine taking up to 4000 u.i. daily. Some doctors recommend people who are deficient in Vitamin D take up to 50,000 i.u.'s daily for 5-10 weeks to get their D levels normalized and then take 5000 daily to maintain it.
