don’t know those answers, but the reason Lolo had to leave Hawaii & go back to Indonesia is because his student visa had been revoked due to the crisis in Indonesia. Not sure if he was already in the military when he was in Hawaii.

I think it would be accurate to say that Stanley Ann took little BHO to Indonesia during one of the most dangerous times in Indonesia’s history. Not something I would have done.

That marriage was not just an ordinary marriage. If you are a communist, you don’t take off for Indonesia during a bloody war with your little boy...when the new faction is torturing people to turn over communists...and your husband had the wheels greased by the communist sympathizer to go to school..wow..what a coincidence that Ann married another foreigner showing up in Hawaii to go to school.

And why put Jr in the school that had the boy whose grandfather was only one of two people who had a certain kind of car..the other being the President..and it was a gift from the grandfather (may not have all the details correct there)...it wasn’t some poor little boy school.

This is Kezia’s side of the story, of course, but if true makes BO Sr’s marriage to SADO bigamous.

Kezia says she was married in 1956 including payment of dowry.

Kezia says BO Sr told his third wife that he was married to Kezia when he was caught in the hospital with the two wives together for the first time. The impression that the story gives is that Kezia and other Kenyans considered BO Sr a bigamist after he was caught, and not in a legal Muslim polygamous marriage.

As you say, this is such a legal mess that the probability of BO II ever being found ineligible due to being “governed” by the 1948 BNA at birth is remote because British dual citizenship can’t pass from the father via a bigamous marriage (as defined where the marriage occurred).

If BO was born in HI he likely has unitary natural born citizenship from his US citizen legally single mother, but until and unless SCOTUS rules, we do not know.

Kenya to Hawaii

1959 Malcolm X travels to Middle East and Africa including Kenya. Malcolm X meets with Jomo Kenyatta (recently released from prison following his conviction on leading the Mau Mau Rebellion), Tom Mboya, and may have met Barack Hussein Obama Sr, who was Mboya’s close confident and fellow Luo tribesman both from Lake Victoria.

Due to a program offering Western educational opportunities to outstanding Kenyan students that was organized by nationalist leader Tom Mboya, Obama Sr. was awarded a scholarship in economics, and at the age of 23 (1959) he enrolled at the University of Hawaii. Initial financial supporters of the program included Harry Belafonte, Sidney Poitier, Jackie Robinson, and Elizabeth Mooney Kirk, a literacy advocate who provided most of the financial support for Obama Senior’s early years in the United States. Elizabeth Mooney Kirk worked in Kenya and in concert with Jomo Kenyatta and Tom Mboya. Kirk and Malcolm X, both New Yorkers, would have certainly met in Kenya. Kirk co-authored many books with Frank Charles Laubach, founder of LLI.

Aside: Contrary to Obama’s claims in speeches in January at American University and in Selma last year, the Kennedy family did not provide the funding for a September 1959 airlift of 81 Kenyan students to the United States that included Obama’s father.

(However, as you may already have noted, sourced research on the OBAMA AFRICAN COLONIAL thread shows clearly that Obama Senrior was NOT on that first airlift. He had in fact, arrived in Hawaii some months prior to the first airlift landing at Idlewild.)

What you have is hearsay. Until there is more than hearsay, you have the apparent application for marriage license in Hawaii referenced by Hawaiian officials, you have the divorce decree in Hawaii, and you have tacit admission and recognition of fatherhood by Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., who was a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies, governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948, as is his son Barack Hussein Obama II.

If you think Great Britain is going to declare a foreign head of state a bastard in order to interfere in the political process of that foreign state, especially to help Obama after his ongoing snub of that nation and that nation's institutions and traditions, you're mistaken.

Absent a British declaration regarding not just the one matter but three matters:
- a likely unrecorded tribal marriage if there actually was one
- the recognized marriage of Stanley Ann Dunham and Barack Hussein Obama, Sr.
- the resulting citizenship of his son Barack Hussein Obama II
then, based upon legal records and British colonial law governing the matter in what is now Kenya, the known facts will stand as they are, and will stand in any court of law in the United States.

Everything else is fantasy or deliberate misdirection.

Senior was mentored by two AMerican Missionaries (near Niarobi). They prepared him to take the test at the American Embassy that qualified him for the scholarship to the U of HI. (Look at information on Lois Anderson....It may be an important link)

Any claim that Obama may be ineligible due to being governed at birth by the 1948 BNA would seem require a refutation of the marital status alleged by Kezia Obama (who is still alive) as told to the Daily Mail.

According to this article, Barack and Michelle Obama are completely familiar with and accepting of Kezia’s version of the family history.

Kezia would presumably be able to testify as to exactly what she meant by the word “married” in the article and whether any legal documentation might exist.

From the Daily Mail January 6, 2008 here is Kezia talking about Barack Sr:

"Barack was also worried about what his father would think because I was so young, but he gave us his approval. He sent my mother and father 14 cows for my dowry.

"Barack's father was only a cook so it was a big sacrifice. Very soon after, we were married."

That was January 1957. Kezia and Barack Snr set up home in Jericho, a section of Nairobi created for government employees, and began a family.

First son Roy was born in March 1958. Kezia insisted: "Barack was a good husband."

Whether there is a legal record of the Kezia marriage to Obama Sr would be a matter for discovery.

Kezia is alive and can testify that she married Obama Sr, which is not hearsay!

RummyChick has provided lots of leads that indicate that Kenyan law recognizes tribal marriage and the US (and HI) would recognize Kenyan marriages and thus refuse recognition to a bigamous marriage by Obama Sr and SADO.

All of this would be subject to litigation in Kenya and the US that would likely take years and be subject to corruption in both Kenya and the US.

I don’t believe any of us know how all of this would shake out legally. But I have no expectation that BO will be declared ineligible based on 1948 BNA dual citizenship.

On the other hand, if evidence proves Obama was born outside the US, he is toast!

Of course, like all of these tangents, none of it changes the fact that the individual known as Barack Hussein Obama II, whose legal, biological father was a nonresident alien, does not meet the definition of natural-born citizen under demonstrable original intent of the Founders, as required for eligibility to the office he now holds.

That is known, right now. No wild goose chases in Kenya or England. No interminable delay of years, enabling the precedent to be set, allowing a Constitutionally ineligible President to complete a full term of office.

Barack Jr's mother, Ann Dunham visited Kenya when Obama Sr died. She met her co-wife, Kezia and they both became great friends.Since then, the Obamas have formed an extraordinary bond, despite their unstable family history and cultural and geographic differences.
