“any centralized power is bad”

I believe this depends. I know, Americans tend to attack anything that is big and instinctively side with the little guy. Large companies however can bring down costs because of economies of scale in ways that smaller companies cannot. Even a monopoly isn’t necessarily malicious when there are no government barriers to market entry.

Agreed. But large companies (even those that dominate a market) don't really have "power", at least not in the sense that the word applies to governments. A corporation can't force me to do anything without my consent. They can only use carrots, whereas governments can (and almost always do) rely on the stick.

Screw that. When a corporation becomes a conglomeration, the first thing they do is move overseas and start importing crap products. No thanks, I’d rather see Americans employed than see fat cats get even fatter by using internationalism and government trade.
