I’m opposed to this kind of company doing law enforcement work inside the US. I’m not that happy about private prisons, for that matter, although there are several in my area.

Any town mayor who contracts with guys like this for a local police force should be voted out post haste. If you can’t afford a police force, deputize civilians.

I’d like to know more about what they’re doing. If they are training Afghans, then fine. If they are contracted with the State Department to train security for foreign war zones, or Iraqi police officers, or even spooks looking for Bin Ladin, then I don’t have a problem. If they are doing swat training even for US police, fine. But if they are going to contract to do law enforcement in the US then I do have a problem with it.
