Pittsburgh protests provide clear definition of an "angry mob"

More than 1,000 police officers were hired from precincts throughout the U.S. and sworn in prior to this weeks G-20 summit held in Pittsburgh. As expected, the presence of such a large contingency of officers was needed as an estimated 2,000 left-wing radicals descended on the city in protest of capitalism. Protesters clad in masks and in some cases armed erupted into violence breaking windows in restaurants, a bank and a local BMW dealership. Police were forced to respond to the violence by using tear-gas, firing bean bags and setting off high frequency sounds systems designed to disperse the mob and re-establish control of the city.

The anti-capitalist protests have marred G8 and G20 summits for years, each time erupting in violence and costing the hosting city millions of dollars in security pay and clean up costs. The actions taken by protesters in Pittsburgh are a stark contrast to the...

All astroturfers recruited by Acorn and Soro’s. Funny to see how well behaved they are compared to the 912 bums in DC.

Where’s the hand wringing from the idiots in the press when a real mob shows up?

Our boy mayor is already congratulating himself on the number of protests which went peacefully yesterday. Of course these were groups supporting caused like Free Tibet and Burmese Monks, not your usual anarchist and anti-capitalists who haunt these events.

In the minds of the left, such causes are morally equivalent because we do not want to be judgmental.

One of the best scenes on the news last night was the local residents applauding when the police were packing the greasy hippies into paddy wagons.

“2,000 left-wing radicals”

...and THEY needed police from all over PA! 1.6 million at the 9/12 march and we needed police to help with directions and to point out where the “port-a-pottys” were. Most police were getting an “ataboy” and “Thank you’s” from the 9/12ers. We could’ve gotten away with 2 or 3 at best. Complete respect!

‘an estimated 2,000 left-wing radicals’

When Americans find out where our money went[Federal Reserve, 9/10 Pentagon Trillions]. There will be millions of radicals.

And don't forget those rabid protestors marching with their "Let's Go Pens!" signs.

Even more mornful-faced Amy Goldman (that Democracy NOW! Marxist), is running video of a protester being shoved into a car by green camo persons at the protests. The protester didn’t utter a sound so it struck me as a set up from the commie play book. It’s on the youtube splash page now.

..also the videocam was conveniently placed and the video is professional quality picture and sound. I think it was staged.

Pittsburgh is, after all, the home of the University of Pitt and the famous backyard brawl where we burn couches in the street to celebrate a win (or protest and occasional loss) against the WVU Mountaineers. Toss in the fact that the college age crowd is a big part of this city's population, that we are a mixture of midwest, southern and northeast cultures and that we've never held this type of world attention before, at least in my lifetime, and you'll have a lot us join in the fun.

Now, if only they would issue tags, bags and bounties for those hippies!

Probably from a previous event as Pittsburgh was too far to travel for some of them.
