BTW, ref my post on using industrial metals instead of gold, I have seen some suspicious activity at scrap dealer yards that look like money laundering for drug dealers. No scrutiny by the Feds.

I heard that scrap dealers now have to get a thumb print due to the rise in copper theft from construction sites and the thieves have started stealing AC compressors right off of houses for the copper coils. A friend of mine (welder) got a contract to build steel cages for a company's AC units.
