Texans Earn Epic Victory In Nashville

Some fans were even calling for a coaching change after the debacle, hoping the Texans brass would keep the telephone numbers of Bill Cower and Tony Dungy on speed dial.

Things can really change fast in one week.

Despite being down by 14 points in the second quarter and unable to establish any sort of running game, the Houston Texans earned perhaps its most monumental win in team history with a 34-31 victory on the road in Nashville against the Titans on Sunday.

Matt Schaub was scintillating, going 25/39 for 357 yards and four touchdowns, but there were also superlatives to be passed around to several of his teammates on the day as well.

My how quickly things change... Last year the Titans (aka The Flaming Thumbtacks) went 13 - 3, and now they have started the season 0 - 2, a huge hole to put yourself in.

In case anyone has forgotten, the Titans used to be the Houston Oilers.

That's why you can't put too much stock in this win. The Texans will be back to their .500 ways next week.
