I don't think it's the NEA. A scandal with the NEA isn't going to resonate with most Americans unless it is so egregious that it couldn't be ignored.

As much as I dislike the NEA, I'd be disappointed if it were them.

Did you read this article? The National Endowment for the Art of Persuasion It appears the NEA was involved in setting up a conference call between the NEA, White House Office of Public Engagement, United We Serve and "a group of artists, producers, promoters, organizers, influencers, marketers, taste-makers, leaders or just plain cool people".

The point of the call was to use a "group of rising artist and art community luminaries “to help lay a new foundation for growth, focusing on core areas of the recovery agenda – health care, energy and environment, safety and security, education, community renewal".

IOW, the NEA was to work with the White House to help find people who might promote their agenda. That's taxpayer money bing used to organize a coalition in the art industry for OBAMA PROPAGANDA. If they will help organize "the list" and set up the call with the White House, how much further will they go?
