On Sept. 12, a large crowd gathered in Washington to protest ... what?
That was the opening sentence of the cover story in the forthcoming issue of Time magazine. The article, by one David von Drehle, is titled "Mad Man: Is Glenn Beck Bad for America?"
Gee, I wonder what Mr. von Drehle's conclusion is!
The cover of this issue, incidentally, is simply a picture of Glenn Beck sticking his tongue out. (Considering what they've done to Ann Coulter and other conservatives, I guess Time could've done worse.)
What an embarrassing pathetic week it has been for the mainstream Obama-worshiping media.
First, except for CNN, MSNBC, and of course Fox News, the mainstream media virtually ignored the resignation of President Hope&Change's ultra-leftist "green jobs" czar Van Jones. It was primarily Beck who did reveal Jones' radical background to the American people. This must be why he's "bad for America."
Then, at ABC News soon-retiring Charles Gibson claimed ignorance about ACORN's many indescretions. In fact, the mainstream media was so complicit in ignoring the ACORN scandals that even lib comedian Jon Stewart asked, "Where the hell were you?" Which is why conservative commentators like Glenn Beck

Let me try to help author Von Dufus out here. The people were protesting:
1. The 33 (or whatever) czars who are sidestepping constitutional checks and balances.
2. The corruption attendant to incumbency.
3. Redistribution of wealth
4. A turning over of 16% of our total economy to the federal bureaucracy -— for no good reason.
5. A deaf, dumb and blind -— but highly biased -— MSM
6. The filth and corruption in ACORN
7. The “cap-and-steal” power grab by GE, T. Boone Pickens, and Congress (the political-industrial complex), and
8. (This was the over-arching theme) The inexorable march toward socialism, and the subsequent loss of individual liberty.
