I am looking for a list of conservatives colleges in Texas, specially states universities around the San Antonio area, any recommendations?
My daughter will be ready for college in about 3 yrs, and I am doing my research and planning to start visiting them.
I also would like to know what colleges are the ones we should avoid at all costs.
I know folks with kids at U of Dallas and they love it. They are Protestants, if that makes any difference.
Texas A&M is the closest exception. Saturated in Corp of Cadets culture and tradition (which is extremely conservative). Of course, there are pockets of liberalism in every university, but I think A&M best has these compartmentalized.

I heard the same thing when I lived down there, that A&M was by far the most conservative state school.

Non-denominational, unapologetically Christian university. I’m proud to be associated with it.
I quit giving to the Annual Fund (alumni) when I heard about that.
Don’t know if you’re interested in a Catholic college but I just found out about this one in Corpus Christi! It was founded by the SOLT Fathers (Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity like Fr. John Corapi...in other words authentically Catholic) It really looks awesome!

Well I do want to pay in-state tuition. And I have no desire to return to Florida, except to visit.

There will be dancing at Baylor University.
It’s true. Boogie Fever has hit Waco.
The ‘D’ word will no longer be taboo at the world’s largest Baptist university. The first official dance will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, on Fifth Street in the middle of campus. The dance will wrap up “Diadeloso,” which is Spanish for “Day of the Bear,” and a student holiday held each spring featuring games and activities.
Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr., a Baylor graduate and an ordained Baptist minister who has preached throughout the world, and his wife, Sue, also a Baylor grad, will perform the first dance.
The heavens will not shake, but it will be an historic time for Baylor and Baptists everywhere.
“Students have said for many years that they should be allowed to dance on campus,” said Sloan, who became Baylor president June 1, 1995.

Southwestern Adventist University in Keene. I didn’t go there but I had a few conservative friends who did.
