Is there ANY data that supports this practice? I cannot find it.
I was always taught to sneeze or couch into a tissue, toss it and wash hands. Use of sleeve was if you did not have a tissue handy. But then I’m old and out of touch..lol.
That what I was taught too. This sneezing into the crook of your elbow is being trotted out as THE WAY and while it makes sense to do it in order to prevent contact with hands, the other side of it is that, because of its awkward position, I see a lot of people missing when they sneeze and possibly spreading it more. It also removes the immediate need to wash hands, and perhaps people are washing/purelling less? I NEED DATA!! Anyway, thanks for your input!
