If we weren't all blinded by the sun-like intensity of the strikingly ludicrous healthcare bill, and still groggy from the concussion-inducing cap-and-trade bill, both on the heels of a nuclear stimulus, we might have paid much closer attention to what is now a mere drop in the bucket $100 billion trojan horse. Another time, another place, Hotair may have devoted the nuke blast picture. Ace may have devoted the flaming skull.
I am referring to the fact that at 2:16 PM this afternoon, the House passed HR 3221, the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2009. The act effectively takes one last deep drag from the Student Loan cigarette, and flicks it to the ground, in another industry takeover.
