So I just want everybody to know, Congress will have time to read the bill. They will have time to debate the bill. They will have all of August to review the various legislative proposals. When we come back in September, I will be available to answer any question that members of Congress have. If they want to come over to the White House and go over line by line what's going on, I will be happy to do that.The next day Congressman Phil Roe (R-TN) wrote the President accepting his invitation. His letter is here. No word came back from the White House so Roe sent a second letter in early September. Two weeks after that second letter, still no response from the President who claimed he would be "happy" to sit down and go over the bill.

I keep thinking that this administration has reached its’ lowest point ever, yet I continue to be amazed. Why tell a whopper like this one, in public, when you know it’s being recorded, when you have no intention of ever following through? I mean, why even have those specific words come out of your mouth? That’s what practiced, habitual liars do.

Wow, no response from the President to a Congressman. Now I don’t feel so bad when I don’t get a response from my Senators and Congressman.
They have The Race Card.
I’m shocked!!! Why, it’s enough to make somebody want to stand up and cry out, “You lie!!!!”
Because.......ostammer knows that nobody except a Republican would take him up on it and that the media won’t whisper a peep about him reneging on the offer when he fails to follow through. It was a “throwaway” line.
