The Republicans have more power than they think. They need to be OUT IN FRONT & CALLING OBAMA OUT on all the illegal things that he is doing.
If we know & see what's going on - either they are deaf & blind or haven't got the guts to man up & protect us & our constitution.

Well, it’s not really unconstitutional (after all, if the phrasing makes it unconstitutional for POTUS to chair the UN security council, it also makes it unconstitutional for anyone at all in the executive branch including the UN Ambassador to chair it).
However, it is absurdly egomaniacal. My guess is that when the public actualy sees this ridiculous spectacle, O’s ratings will plunge some more.
Of course, I was the one that laughed out loud at his campaign speeches last year and thought that nobody could actually believe his claptrap.
That’s my question. HOW IS IT THAT HE CAN DO ALL OF THIS WITH NO CHALLENGES? FROM ANYONE!
The point of the clause is that the president shouldn’t have divided loyalties.
As president and UN chief he would have a conflict of interest. Should he do what is best for the USA or what is best for the UN?
It many not techically be a government, but in spirit the UN is. The have a military authority (that uses troops borrowed from various countries) and they have at times taken over the governing of countries that have fallen into chaos.
Most importantly, the UN has waged war. The Korean war was authorized by a UN vote. Technicall, the UN was in charge of the Korean war.
He’s not chief of the UN.
The United States is presiding over the UN Security Council. As President of the United States, Obama designates who will represent the United States at the meeting and act as presiding officer. He has designated himself.
It’s unwise, arrogant, and just plain stupid, for a host of reasons, but it’s not illegal or unconstitutional.
I'll make an easier solution. GET US OUT OF THE UNITED NATIONS NOW!!!
I do believe you are wrong. The U.N. Ambassador is confirmed before the Senate and he is paid for filling that position. If the President sits to be confirmed for the position and takes the pay cut, I suppose he can chair the Council. Relevant words in the Constitution-- without the Consent of the Congress,. I think it is also against the law somewhere for someone to get two salaries from the government, but I could be wrong on that. That said, don't hold your breath for these guys to obey the Constitution.
