Funny how when the legacy media gets anywhere close to the truth, the stories are never published with the writer’s name on them.

They must be terrified of the left, and most likely their own peers. Not towing the party line may cost them a few invites on the cocktail circuit....

....If ACORN is to survive and retain a shred of credibility, it needs to stop deflecting blame and clean house.

You can't clean a house full of cockroaches and maggots.... Sometimes you just have to bulldoze it.

The MSM is realizing that there is a threshhold of corruption at which they must respond, regardless of how reluctant they are to do so, and frankly, I didn’t think it would ever happen.

O'Keefe's hidden-camera methods are distasteful, and the extent to which his videos were edited is unknown.

The still have to take a weak shot... the press has been using "hidden-camera methods" for HOW LONG? ... Did the LA Times ever label it "distasteful" before?

The comments from readers regarding this editorial give me hope for change in 2010.

The MSM knows if they were to actually investigate ACORN it would be ruinous for many career donkeys.

No, the LA Times is not getting a backbone.

They are beginning their defense of O.

The next strategy of the MSM is to disconnect O from ACORN.

Therefore, they must now throw ACORN under the bus.

The MSM is your enemy, they will never be on your side.

ACORN does worthwhile work in poor communities, helping people avoid foreclosure, giving them tax help and, yes, registering them to vote.

According to investigation of ACORN in Nevada 48% of registrations they made were clearly fraudulent. Even assuming that the rest (52%) was legit (big, big if - they just were not obvious fraud and required further checks), even in this case - ACORN commits election fraud on massive scale. It's a criminal organization. Just disband it and indict its leaders.

There is no “controversy.”

There is ACORN...

And there are the tapes of ACORN encouraging criminal acts.

Will everyone call their congressman and ask them how and why anyone ever thought it was okay to give these large amounts of my/your money away to any organization whether it's corrupt or not.

Yes, I'm pissed about the $50 billion (of my/your money) GWB gave away to Africa too.

None of these people, the politicians, the ACORNS or Africans work as hard as I did/do for my money.

It's outrageous.

(AND, you know what, they're there now still giving it away as fast as they can.)

"The next strategy of the MSM is to disconnect O from ACORN."

Excellent revelation.

No doubt, in the Alinsky play book.
