REVEALED, The White House Was Hiding Cost of Cap and Trade
CBS News/The Lid ^ | 9/16/09 | The Lid

Didn't President Obama promise that his administration would be the most transparent administration in history? Here is another example of how the president has either forgotten, or is intentionally disregarding that promise.

Through a freedom of information act request, the Competitive Enterprise Institute has discovered documents that show the White House has been less than truthful about his Cap and Tax plan. The documents reveal that the taxes in the Cap and Trade bill will add a burden of $1,761 annually to US Families. That is the equivalent of an average 15% increase in the income tax rate.

A second memorandum, which was prepared for Obama's transition team after the November election, says this about climate change policies: "Economic costs will likely be on the order of 1 percent of GDP, making them equal in scale to all existing environmental regulation."

The 'White House' is hiding all sorts of things!

They're stuffing a dummy full of straw and passing him off as a president.

He's a phony president who is driving the train of state full steam ahead into oblivion!

Why Americans don't awaken to this fact is mind-boggling!

By announcing, for example, that you are the most ethical congress in history, you give yourself cover to do whatever you want.

Same here.

Already 85% of the projected revenues collected under cap and tax have been promised to the green movement constituencies. That little gem is thanks to the Apollo Alliance which fashioned the bill under Van Jones style fascism. Harry Reid even thanked them for their important help. But we should have known it was coming since Barry told ACOR/SEIU, etc that even before the inaguration he was bringing the ‘community activists’ into the White House to fashion his administration’s direction. [ Yes, there is a youtube of him saying just that to them.]
