The majority of the animosity directed towards Mr. Obama is because he is a marxist, and he is pushing marxist policies. Mr. Carter may be in denial ... but countries that pushed these policies in the 20th Century did not fare too well... Other sources of the animosity is that Mr. Obama belonged to a racist, blasphemous 'church' (den of apostasy) for 20 years ... and he has also shown himself to be a racist (by his writings; by his associations; by his words).
But yes, I'll give the ex-Peanut Farmer some credit. I personally carry some general 'pissed-offed-ness' in that I know, and we all know, that Mr. Obama would never had not been nominated for President if he was melanin challenged. Had he been white he would have been either laughed at, or patted on the head and told to come back later when he had some experience under my belt. And yes, I have a problem with that. It is a far cry from the MLK dream to look beyond the color of one's skin and at his or her's character. Mr. Obama is a case study of quite the opposite...
