Pattern and practice Thomas Lifson

Isn't it time for RICO investigation of ACORN? A third videotape of ACORN employees counseling a couple posing as pimp and prostitute on evading the law has been published on BigGovernment.com. James O'Keefe, Hannah Giles, and Andrew Breitbart have demonstrated a pattern and practice of corruption in the national organization at three different locations.

ACORN is now threatening a lawsuit against Fox News for not observing the MSM embargo on the videotapes produced by the awesome thresome from BigGovernment.com. John Fund of the WSJ comemnts, "Bring it on!" in the video discussion below.

Needless to say a lawsuit would only bring more attention to the case, and highlight the failure of MSM to cover serious corruption in an organization with deep ties to the president.

Update from Clarice Feldman:

Rather than reminding the women that prostitution is dangerous and illegal and advising them to change their careers, counselors at the social-services group shockingly offer suggestions on how they can launder their earnings. "Honesty is not going to get you the house," a loan counselor at the offices told two activists posing as a mortgage-seeking pimp and prostitute.

"You can't say what you do for a living."

The sting caught ACORN workers assisting the duo in preparing false tax returns, filinf false housing grant applications, abetting a plan to traffic in underage girls from Central America in Baltimore , Washington,D.C. and now Brooklyn. When will the federal government see a pattern and act?

Update from reader Lebo:

I'm hearing several organizations as well as many individuals calling for Congress and/or or Justice to conduct a full investigation of ACORN. I guess I have an issue with this approach.

The longer this regime fails to investigate ACORN as an obvious criminal organization, the closer they come to losing all power.

They are all becoming Bagdad Bobs...hey...what are you going to believe....us or your lying eyes....

>>> an organization with deep ties to the president. <<<<

“Deep ties” to say the least, many of which were generally known by the State Run Media for a long time before the Nov 2008 election:

Inside Obama’s Acorn
By their fruits ye shall know them.

By Stanley Kurtz

[snip]

We find some important details in an article in the journal Social Policy entitled, “Case Study: Chicago — The Barack Obama Campaign,” by Toni Foulkes, a Chicago Acorn leader and a member of Acorn’s National Association Board. The odd thing about this article is that Foulkes is forced to protect the technically “non-partisan” status of Acorn’s get-out-the-vote campaigns, even as he does everything in his power to give Acorn credit for helping its favorite son win the critical 2004 primary that secured Obama the Democratic nomination to the U.S. Senate.

Before giving us a tour of Acorn’s pro-Obama but somehow “non-partisan” election activities, Foulks treats us to a brief history of Obama’s ties to Acorn. While most press accounts imply that Obama just happened to be at the sort of public-interest law firm that would take Acorn’s “motor voter” case, Foulkes claims that Acorn specifically sought out Obama’s representation in the motor voter case, remembering Obama from the days when he worked with Talbot. And while many reports speak of Obama’s post-law school role organizing “Project VOTE” in 1992, Foulkes makes it clear that this project was undertaken in direct partnership with Acorn. Foulkes then stresses Obama’s yearly service as a key figure in Acorn’s leadership-training seminars.

At least a few news reports have briefly mentioned Obama’s role in training Acorn’s leaders, but none that I know of have said what Foulkes reports next: that Obama’s long service with Acorn led many members to serve as the volunteer shock troops of Obama’s early political campaigns — his initial 1996 State Senate campaign, and his failed bid for Congress in 2000 (Foulkes confuses the dates of these two campaigns.) With Obama having personally helped train a new cadre of Chicago Acorn leaders, by the time of Obama’s 2004 U.S. Senate campaign, Obama and Acorn were “old friends,” says Foulkes.

Any citizen can file a RICO lawsuit. It must show a pattern of criminal acts (done), involving two or more crimes named in the RICO statute (also done).

Therefore, the door is open to a private RICO lawsuit, and one should be joined immediately. Both Judicial Watch and the Landmark Legal Foundation should be contacted for their expertise in doing it right.

Here is your chance. This is a free site. Make sure you have ACORN’s full name correct. Have a problem let me know.
