Oh, and of course in the meantime coming up with real numbers from photos and other sources. Personally, I’d like to see the turnstile counts in the metro yesterday, and compare them to other Septembers and other major rallies.
Turn-style counts will not be accurate for two reasons:
1) You have locals, not attending the protest, who would be passing through, which might raise the numbers by a (small ?) amount.
2) At around 1030 AM, (At the Federal Triangle stop) the METRO police passed people through the gates without having them slip in their metro-pass to pay the fare... Their were so many coming off the trains that the platforms were getting dangerously overcrowded... The counts from the turn-styles would be low in this case.
