I think you may need to learn the lesson I learned a few years ago. I asked an uneducated blue collar worker why he never went to school to contribute something "real" to the world before he died. He looked me in the eye with calm sincerity said, "Everyone has their place in this world and we all have something to give. The important thing is that we all do the best that we can to make it all work for everyone". It humbled me.
Stop expecting everyone to live up to the expectations you place on yourself. Some are happy to live a humble life..in fact, they are proud of it. They don't ask for much but just a little respect and understanding.....
