Obama's frightening regulatory chief pushes new 'bill of rights'
Hyscience ^ | September 11, 2009 | Aaron Klein

A government that is constitutionally required to offer each citizen a "useful" job in the farms or industries of the nation.

A country whose leadership intercedes to ensure every farmer can sell his product for a good return.

A nation that has the power to act against "unfair competition" and monopolies in business.

This is not a description of Cuba, communist China or the old USSR. It's the vision of the future of the U.S, as mandated by a radical new "bill of rights" drawn up and pushed by President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein. Until now, Sunstein's proposal has received little scrutiny.>p>

In 2004, Sunstein penned a book, "The Second Bill of Rights: FDR'S Unfinished Revolution and Why We Need It More than Ever," in which he advanced the radical notion that welfare rights, including some controversial inceptions, be granted by the state. His inspiration for a new bill of rights came from President Roosevelt's 1944 proposal of a different, new set of bill of rights.

Interestingly, we've heard some of this talk of "acting against "unfair competition" and monopolies in business" talk coming out ot the mouths of the Congressional Democrats during the health care debate. And Politico reports that Democrats succeeded in pushing forward Cass Sunstein's nomination to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, in a 63-35 vote Wednesday evening, moving Sunstein one step closer to a full vote in the Senate.

In a related video, here's Glenn Beck on Barack Obama's Controversial Regulation Czar Choice Cass Sunstein [FOX News]. Be sure to watch it in its entirety. The radical new "bill of rights" are talked about toward the end of the video:

Americans, we were a sleep at the switch...I knew about Sunstein, but failed to contact my elected...too busy faxing and calling about the Health Care mess and Cap and Trade...those are two more that need to be shredded - both are programs designed to socialize the country even deeper while taxing the beejeezus out of everyone...not just the rich! Stop them!

The Bill of Rights was designed to LIMIT Federal power.

This only serves to INCREASE Federal power.

A good start would be to refrain from taxing and regulating our useful industries to death.

I have a lawn. On my lawn I grow grass. When I harvest this grass, I have to throw it away because the market price for a bag of lawn clippings is less than 0.

Under this 'bill of rights', would the government be required to ensure that I make a profit with my 'farm'? What is the definition of a 'farmer'? Does this right also extend to people who farm marijuana? Heroin poppies? Genetically modified food?

And many, many people will die because of this. They will die in gulags, mass graves and the gallows. History is my witness. That’s what’s at stake.

If, in fact, these are his views, they are vastly different from those of the "father" of the Constitution, James Madison, in his First Inaugural, regarding the relationship of the government to the people under their new Constitution, and to the progress of the nation:

"Under the benign influence of our republican institutions. . . , the fruits of a just policy were enjoyed in an unrivaled growth of our faculties and resources. Proofs of this were seen in the improvements of agriculture, in the successful enterprises of commerce, in the progress of manufacturers and useful arts, in the increase of the public revenue and the use made of it in reducing the public debt, and in the valuable works and establishments everywhere multiplying over the face of our land."(Underlining added for emphasis)- James Madison, First Inaugural

Clearly, the Constitution provided the formula for the limited role government was to play in order for a "just policy" to allow America to become the most free and prosperous place the world had ever seen, and one where millions of the oppressed from other lands found refuge and opportunity for over 200 years.

What you are describing is not a farm, and you are not a farmer.

You are a groundskeeper. Still, in Obama land, this means you should still be getting paid for working as a groundskeeper.

SOOOoooo....

The Government is planning to take over the Private sector
job market next???

Does this mean that the ~0~dynasty will be telling you where your going to work?

Or does it mean that the ~0~dynasty will tell YOU who is coming to work at your private business (whether you like it or not)?

In ALL my life I have never seen such arrogance.
Arrogance combined with stupidity that is.

Folks, this IS NOT going to end well.

Well, I also have orange trees. Under this proposal, would the government ensure that I turn a profit growing and harvesting the oranges?

Suppose I have a legitimate farm. What if I employ beautiful women in bikinis to pick the oranges, at a cost of $50 per hour? Will the government pick up the tab?

I checked with my local ACORN office here and they didn’t see any problem with it. “there are ways around it” they said.

Fine! Submit constitutional amendments to the states which will vote on them. Or, do we wish continue to subvert the current Constitution without the consent of the governed?
