Two op-eds today that systematically and irrefutably rip the facade off of the Obamessiah's administration are worth reading and savoring, and they come from two ladies of very different philosophical and social persuasions. Both ladies find a not-so-odd coincidence of political opinion regarding the case of Obama's dreams for remaking the face of America and its institutions in His image. While the first lady (not the First Lady, thank you) is the faith- and family-driven Sarah Palin and the second lady is the somewhat Nietzchean alternative lifestyle Camille Paglia, the two of them share a commitment to first principles, and among those principles are individual liberty, personal responsibility, and the safe guards of the Bill of Rights. Things which the Obamaists mock and decry as evil or outmoded concepts in favor of their utopian views of power and technocratic regulation of every aspect of life.
Gov. Palin absolutely destroys Obama's and Pelosi's claims about what their healthcare "reforms" will and won't do. Read it NOW before the Obamessiah gets on the tube tonight and tries to backtrack on the truth... As I've said again and again--yeah abortion IS in there because if it's not specifically prohibited it will be allowed under "reproductive health" which is code for abortion on the feminazi left; and yeah, death panels are in there too, under the rubrics of quality control and efficiency. The Gov. lays out the CBO facts and the common sense approach to the kind of reforms that are needed that would not create billions of new debt, increase corruption, create millions of union dues paying useless jobs, etc.
Camille Paglia's piece is more reflective and expansive in her critique of why the Obamessiah's administration has imploded with San Fran Nan's help... it is brilliant. And furthermore, she goes on to explain EXACTLY why the upper middle-class bourgeois bohemian types, lawyers, academics and media types have become so sycophantic in the Obamessiah's regard. They are basically ignoramuses having suffered from knee-jerk leftist education their whole bloody lives--right through their Ivy League graduate degrees. EXCELLENT critique. MUST READ.
Ah, there is some sanity out there. And if people who are otherwise so far apart on the personal choices that we make with our freedom, it is very encouraging to see that even on the left (albeit the libertarian left) there is an awareness that all of our freedoms are seriously at risk in these days...

Having read Sexual Personae years ago, I discovered in Paglia a woman who appreciated and could celebrate the masculine force in the world even though for whatever reasons she personally preferred the feminine.
