Jacobs: Right-On the Death Penalty

Ask a Democrat if he’s in favor of killing people. The answer will be complicated, since he’ll say yes to killing innocent babies sleeping in their mothers’ wombs, but no to killing criminals who have raped and killed others. And the best part is that he’ll think he’s being totally reasonable!

The death penalty has changed much over the years, thanks to liberals. It used to be that a big crowd would come out to cheer on the execution of someone who had committed crimes that could only be described as evil, whether it was murder, rape, or some other heinous act. People would be hanged, put in the electric chair, gassed, or guillotined. I don’t normally advocate these types of punishment, but if someone has taken away another person’s right to life, they deserve the worst kind of punishment. Today, because of the ceaseless badgering of the Left, lethal injection is used in nearly every execution. But I’m sure if enough convicted criminals complain that the needle prick hurts too much, liberals will find some new, even more humane ways to dispose of the most inhumane members of our society.
