The attached image is a picture of Jayden Capewell, who was born prematurely and died solely because he was denied treatment by the NHS in Britain. If societies are judged by how they treat the weakest and most vulnerable inside their society, then nations with "compassionate" socialized national healthcare plans are surely damned. The leftists who promote such insanity never think about the fac More..t that such systems place targets on the backs of people like Jayden. If Jayden had been lucky enough to have been born in an evil, heartless, for-profit system like ours in America... he would most likely be alive today. Here's the article from the Mail Online:
Doctors left a premature baby to die because he was born two days too early, his devastated mother claimed yesterday. Sarah Capewell begged them to save her tiny son, who was born just 21 weeks and five days into her pregnancy - almost four months early. They ignored her pleas and allegedly told her they were following national guidelines that babies born before 22 weeks should not be given medical treatment.
Miss Capewell, 23, said doctors refused to even see her son Jayden, who lived for almost two hours without any medical support. She said he was breathing unaided, had a strong heartbeat and was even moving his arms and legs, but medics refused to admit him to a special care baby unit.
Miss Capewell is now fighting for a review of the medical guidelines.

Against the rules to save a baby’s life. Give me a break!
I can’t read this. I have to be able to sleep tonight.
This similar to the Obama Rule he favored in the Illinois legislature.
And I’ll bet a month’s pay that this was NOT reported as “infant mortality” under the relevant statistics.
Heck, just define it as not alive yet, and when it dies it doesn’t mess up the stats! A truly bureaucratic, and horrific, solution.
And obama wants to bring it here.
As the mother of preemie (32 weeks and very different circumstances) I am really sickened by this story.
Common sense has died in the UK. Having rules about confinement dates is madness. How do they even know if the confinement date was correct for this little boy? Common sense would tell you that he is worth the effort especially if he is putting up such a fight.
