Pick up some cords, make a scourge and bring an entirely new meaning to the words “Congressional whip”.

The absurdity of Mr. Whitman's argument may be easily demonstrated in the sharp decline in Faith based medical charity, since the Federal Government started to intervene on a massive scale in American Medicine in the 1960s. As we suggest in our current Feature, Health Care Or Armageddon?, False Altruism drives genuine charity from a community.

Put another way, can anyone imagine replacing the late Dr. Albert Schweitzer with a Left-wing bureaucrat?

The Cuyahoga River?

One of Dante's circles of Hell.

.

First I need to hear Bernard agree that "the authorities are God's servants", per Romans 13.

so the left is:

1. attacking the messenger

2. attacking the beliefs of conservatives by saying that conservatives are not living up to their own standards.

3. ignoring the death panels, political favortism, rationing, and government intrusion inherent in ALL these proposals.

Jesus told us to take care of our brothers and sisters. He didn’t say to lobby the Romans to collect more taxes to treat our brothers and sisters.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

This is all a red herring.

This is the same absurdity as when the left accuses christians for being unchristian over the homosexual based marriage debate.

What Yeshua (Jesus) WOULD NOT DO

is send a crowd to go demand that Caesar give that crowd the power of his sword to take money from others to fund what they think is benevolent (socialism, democratic or otherwise).

Yeshua (Jesus), HIS mission, and what HE expects of HIS followers IS NOT ABOUT THE CAESARS - secular governments - of this Earth.

The early followers of Yeshua (Jesus), and until the time of Constantine, understood this very well. In fact, by the time of Constantine, local Christians were the biggest competitors to the Emperor and Pagan temples, when it came to raising money for and spending money on “the poor”.= They didn’t need Caesar then and if they could get him off their back they don’t need him now.
