Having spent much of the past thirty years of my life in the advertising industry, the flaws of President Obamas health care message are apparent and massive. Most people outside the ad business will tell you that commercials try to beat you over the head to make you buy what you dont need or want. In truth advertising that doesnt address the publics needs or wants does not work. On top of that if a consumer keeps being exposed to a message that does not meet a need, they begin to tune it out quickly, its called wear-out. Finally if the message keeps changing, consumers get suspicious.
Sound Familiar? Thats because almost since his inauguration the POTUS has been beating us over the head with a heath care message that does not address the needs or wants of the majority of American voters. His heath care effort is designed to make sure everyone has heath care, pre-existing conditions are covered and there is a public option to ensure greater competition to keep prices low.

It isn’t just the changing message, though. The real problem is the substance of the product!
No matter how good the advertising, when people figure out that the product is dog poop, they will laugh at the ad, or even worse, ignore the ad and not buy the product.
ObamaCare is the worst form of hot steaming fly covered dog poop. Not only would it cost much more than the current insurance system, the quality of medical care under such a system would fall precipitously.
Bottom line: Even if Zero were an advertising whiz, the product he is selling remains tantamount to the stuff his dog Bo deposits on the White House lawn.
Bottom line 2: This isn’t about medical care. This is about transferring the power that we the people have over our health care to the elitists in Washington.
Obama needs to go to sales school - especially one that includes some courses in business ethics.
A real salesman focuses on his customers’ problems and tries to show them a product that can help them. If the products he has available won’t meet their needs at the time, he says so. The last thing he will try to do is mischaracterize a product, in hopes of making a quick sale. He tries to build up the customer’s trust - and that is what will keep them coming back time after time.
Obama is focused on what he wants, not on what the majority of Americans perceive their problems to be. (Customers aren’t concerned about the salesman’s problems or his wants - they are concerned about their own problems.) In addition, Obama has switched his story so often that people don’t know what to believe about what he is trying to sell. As a result, people just don’t trust him.
Obama is a lousy salesman - he and his team have the outlook of a caricature of a “used car salesman” who tries to sell his customers a heap of junk, with all sorts of expensive fixtures that they don’t need, that will fall apart in short order.
