The protest is “localism” in action... at your Barnes & Noble.

What the heck does saying “speaking truth to power” mean? Sounds like one of those new age sayings like I'm green.

Some of us don’t think televisions belong in bookstores, period.

"Airport visitors, of course, have been subjected to this kind subliminal Big Brother-ism for years, where, at least in New York, a television tuned to CNN, and only to CNN, is mounted in every available corner and crevice. One wonders how much smaller CNN's already-miniscule viewership would be without this forced dissemination of their signal in large, public spaces"

I've dealt with this whenever I find it. This is why Fox News is now played at my gym.

For exciting new ideas, the Bamster can consult a great source of thoughts, both by Jung Chang. One is entitled “Wild Swans,” the other is entitled simply “Mao.” Both books chronicle the life and political style of Mao Tse Tung which The Messiah seems to be using as his guide to creating a happy, compliant country.

“Wild Swans” is a fabulous book. I’ve bought three copies because the ones I loan out never seem to come back. “Mao” is heavy slogging. I can’t recommend “Wild Swans” highly enough - buy it, you’ll be shocked and taken by it.

No, I am not Jung Chang.
