Professor 0bama at Chalkboard (Need help understanding his "lesson.")
wordpress.com ^ | 9/7/09 | self

I've been trying to understand the lesson Professor 0bama is attempting to teach his students. As best as I can figure: corporations, banks, utilities, (and something else which I can't decipher) are working in their own self interest.

Ok...so what's his point? That corporations shouldn't work with banks and utilities in their own self interest? On whose interest should they work?

What's wrong with developing relationships that are built with everyone's self interest in mind?

What is Professor 0bama trying to teach? Perhaps someone out there can figure out his point.

I am also trying to read the fourth box in the professor's diagram. It looks to me like it reads: "DeGlop." Can anyone understand what he has written there?

I had always assumed it was “develop” (by the way, this photograph comes from a 2008 New York Times article.)

“hes a communist. therefore they should all be working for the common good.”

You forgot. “We are from the government. We do not work in our own self-interest. We work only for the people. We are here to help you.”

Well, can’t decipher it, but it is accepted that entities based on self interest are strictly persona au gratin! LOL!(persona non gratis)

Can’t read that fourth box, but the rest of it looks like it’s under a heading of ‘Power Analysis’, and basically says that in order to see their interests furthered, the banks, utilities, et al. buy off the city’s mayor and aldermen.

Must be what he learned from Billy Ayers about his dad from the corporate end—and from ‘Chelle and Valerie about working in the mayor’s office from the receiving end.

Thanks, it’s the first time I saw it. So “developers” are in the same cabal with banks, utilities, and corporations. Ok, that sounds like Barry Logic!

Here's an enhanced photo. It does seem to say "Develop" which well be short for developers.

Funny that they all seem to funneling money to the "mayor".

Good point. I think a more accurate lesson would be to reverse the arrow from “mayor”, re-label it “taxpayers”, and show the money going to 0bama’s many cronies like Acorn, unions, etc.

“Funny that they all seem to funneling money to the “mayor”.”

Exactly. I think Obama was explaining The Chicago Way. He’s essentially saying there are no private enterprises whose profits can’t be “skimmed” to grease the machine. If you want to do business in Chicago, you need to learn to pay-to-play.

Now that Obama is in the White House, that circled Mayor is now a circled President.
