This is war. It is official. the Left is utterly desperate to destroy Glenn Beck.
Keith Olbermann has written a personal "diary" on DailyKos titled: "Send Me Everything You Can Find About Glenn Beck"
Olbermann also is asking for dirt on "Stu Burguiere and Roger Ailes". Stu is Glenn's longtime producer and friend. this is in response to Beck's Tweet from the other day which said: "FIND EVERYTHING YOU CAN ON CASS SUNSTEIN, MARK LLOYD AND CAROL BROWNER. Do notlink before burning to disc."
Olbermann continues...
Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).
This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.
I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he's in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.
Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.
Keith apparently doesn't realize that his bizarre, unfunny reference contribute to his own dismal ratings. He is no Dennis Miller and could not hope to be. However expect things to get white hot in the MSNBC-FoxNews war this coming week.
DefendGlenn.com has some special surprises for Mr. Olbermann & Co. coming up. Stay tuned.
(see DefendGlenn's Twitter post for link to Kos, if you can stomach it)
Careful, Keith, you will reap what you sow.
Foolish men mistake transitory semblance for eternal fact. (Thomas Carlyle).
It is a flank to protect because the stuff he'll make-up will then assuredly make its way to all midstream press.
Wow, Queef is really upset about Beck single-handedly throwing a racist marxist out of Obama’s White House. (And Olbermann’s total failure in the ratings)
LOL! IMHO Beck has been pretty open about his past, it seems only liberals have to hid what they have done in order to be accepted by the Mainsteam. They want war they will get it. One down 30+ to go!
Another lefty pig.
Olbermann’s smarter than his advertisers, though I’ll grant you that may not be saying much....
In case the 0bamabots delete it after it's linked. Duh!
There are many rumors.
Glenn
Raped and murdered a child
Raped and kidnapped a child
Raped an 85 year old woman, including a police report stating the name “Glenn Beck”. As if there could never be another Glenn Beck.
All of these are false, but it’s the accusation and not the facts that the Dems are interested in.
War is at hand, Beck will win.
Journalists arent biased, they just report the news.
Sheeeehheeehheeeeit.
He's a pro-abortion Roman Catholic. What more does one need to know about him to gauge his character?
RE: “Theyre going to do to Beck what they did to Palin. And everyone else who ever got in their way.”
*******************
Exactly — they fear Beck the same way they feared (or still fear) Sarah Palin!!! Let’s keep the pressure on folks — call them out at every single opportunity.
Beck has a million more followers than Oberman, he will not destroy Glenn!
I will fight back.
They made the rules.
I will play their game.
RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources - money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)
RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)
RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)
RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)
RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)
RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)
RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)
RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
This has always been the political methodology of the far left - Ignore the real issues, and engage in direct character assassination.
It is one thing to point out very real issues with a candidate or person in a position of authority/power. Bill Clinton’s hand in handing over our nuke secrets to the Chi-Coms would be a case-in-point. Another would be Glen Beck’s research and delivery of some very real questions regarding those 0bama has chosen to surround himself with (after all, 0bama was the one that told America to look at who his advisors are....). Every single thing Beck said about Van Jones and others was 100% backed with real data, documents, etc. There was no evidence engineering, no digging so far into a distant and different life.
I have things in my past that I am none too proud of, but my life has changed. I am no longer the person I was 25 years ago, 15 years ago, or even 10 years ago. But if I am no longer involved in those things, and my life DEMONSTRATES that I am no longer involved with them, then they should make little difference.
Van Jones and the other Czars of 0bama, have NOT distanced themselves form their not-so-distant past, and are indeed even still engaged in their ultra-radical, militant, and completely Marxist agenda. Pointing that out does not qualify as character assassination. No - it is telling truth about someone who is in a position to push that agenda, which is a direct assault on the USA and her Constitution.
Just digging up dirt on someone that likely has nothing at all to do with what they are currently engaged in, just for the sake of embarrassing them, or to somehow discredit documented truth - that is character assassination.
How many years did we hear the left engaged in a constant vitriolic attack against GW Bush - and while he deserved criticism on many occasions, the left made fun of his speech, his mannerisms, his ears, and even attacked his rather mainstream faith.
As far as I am concerned, I really believe Glen Beck deserves a medal for bravery. He knew full-well that he would be attacked - that started even before his week-long series. But he chose to not take the easy road. I respect someone willing to take on a difficult issue head-on.
I wish some more of the media would get a backbone and a healthy dose of integrity.
MSNBC taking on Fox is like a 5"4" 135 lb bully who has decided that, lacking facts and truth, he's going to try to beat up a 6'3" 255 lb linebacker on the school football team.
Note to Olbermann...you might want to examine your rating...you're only talking to a very small number of unemployed radicals living in their parent's basement. They can be dangerous, but they can't be powerful.
Just imagine what could be done to MSNBC if we launched a boycott over some of the things they have said, afterall we really DO buy things!
Beck should do a 10 minute haranguing of that Rat POS everyday Two can play at this.
OK. OK....so I’m not as computer literate as you are. I am a 100% born-&-bred Arkansawyer!
