Southern Poverty Law Center smears Steve Levy, promotes lawlessness

The Southern Poverty Law Center has recently put out a so-called study concluding that Long Island's Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy is somehow indirectly responsible for the rash of anti-Hispanic biased crimes on Long Island. Of course, this is just another pathetic attempt to silence the politicians who want to do something about these illegal aliens who are destroying our communities. They figure as long as they put the pressure on, not only will it get Levy to stop standing up against people who are breaking our laws, but it will discourage other politicians from doing so in the future - not only on Long Island, but nationwide. Speak out in favor of enforcing our immigration laws, and the SPLC will bully them into being quiet.

Not only is this a sad attempt to silence anyone who speaks out against this illegal invasion, but it also attempts to divert attention from the actual problem. Illegal immigration. If we would better secure our borders and if these spineless politicians would finally do something about enforcing our immigration laws, this would not be an issue. Instead of blaming Steve Levy for being tough on illegal immigrants, we should really be blaming those who are weak on illegal immigration. They are the ones allowing this to happen. As a Long Islander I think I can safely say that I speak for most of us when I say we're all pretty fed up. Our communities are being invaded and our quality of life is going down the tubes.

This was nothing but a biased “study” in which the outcome was already determined before any research or investigations were made. This was nothing more than propaganda aimed to destroy the reputation of a man who happens to be on the right side of the law - while throwing a pity-party for those who break it.

While I commend the SPLC for listing the Black Panthers on their hate watch as well as the KKK, The fact that they will put Steve Levy in the same basic box as these two groups is beyond ridiculous.

The so-called “study” did not find evidence of organized white supremacists in Suffolk, but I can personally speak of some hate I have seen for myself around here. Like the words "F--- you, gringos" spray painted on a nearby building - with the tag "MS 13" placed underneath. Of course, the biased SPLC won't mention that kind of hate on their propaganda filled website. I wonder if it's because it's a fact that MS 13 is made up mostly of illegal immigrants from south of the border - mainly El Salvador. They are also the most organized and most violent gang in America. They make the crypts and the bloods look like choirboys.

So if the Southern Poverty Law Center wants to investigate hate groups - maybe they should start with MS 13.

SPLC continues to blur the line between illegal immigration and legal immigration. According to them, anyone who is against illegal immigration is "anti-immigrant" and "racist" - more words to throw around to try to demonize anyone who dares stand up for the laws we have. And more so, to attempt to destroy the political careers of elected officials who want to enforce our very own immigration laws. We are a land of laws, people, and there is nothing wrong with speaking out in favor of them.

And there is nothing wrong with American citizens speaking out against what they see as an invasion into their communities.

We can be pro-immigration while being anti-illegal immigration. How many times must I say that? The SPLC is smart enough to know the difference. They're just using these smear tactics because they assume most Americans are stupid enough to believe them - and will vote guys like Levy out of office. I think their strategy will backfire on this one. I believe Levy will get even more support now. As a Long Islander, I know I support him - regardless of the fact he is a Democrat. :)
