Hi, all--
I'm putting together a writing course with the theme "Propaganda and Power," focusing on the relationship between the act of defining and/or denouncing propaganda and the resulting questions of authority and legitimacy. Our literary readings will be from Orwell and Huxley, but I'd also like to include some material from the Obama administration to show my students that Big Brother is alive, well, and raising their taxes. I know a lot of what Obama says can easily be classified as propaganda, so I'm looking specifically for material that comments on the legitimacy of other news/opinion sources or actually uses the term "propaganda." Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
