Here is TMZ video of Rev. Jeremiah Wright at an airport yesterday where he was asked about the "Health Care Bill." He responded: I think the Right Wing is upset because poor people are about to be helped."
He also slammed Oprah Winfey saying she is "just an entertainer" who is "not socially conscious," and is therefore not really making an impact.
I wonder what Rev. Wright would have said about Van Jones, if asked?

Oprah used to go to his church. She dropped out some years ago, probably realized it was bad for business.
That’s right, Rev! I just hate it when poor folks get their hands on some money or get other stuff they want. They are poor for a reason and I want to see them stay that way!
And another thing—I can’t stand to see undeveloped land anywhere. Why, just this afternoon I was out driving around in central Florida looking at some pristine land whose existance bugged me so much that I noted its location and passed it along to some phosphate mines and land developers. Somebody needs to bust that land up and desecrate it a little! I’ll rub my palms together with glee when they do!
Just a typical white conservative talking, Rev.
I hope he had a one way ticket out of the country...
Did anyone ask him??
The right wing is angry because liberalism ensures that poor people continue to exist!!!!
psssst- Jeremiah- the right wing has been helping poor people for a VERY long time now- it’s you liberal nutjobs that have been both DENYING them help,, AND taxing them to death- just htought ya’d like to know that
I’m not surprised that this “Reverend” thinks that infantilizing a entire segment of the population, for several generations, destroying their initiative, eliminating their opportunity to know the pride of self-sufficiency, to the point that they can’t even get out of the way of a hurricane, is “helping” them.
“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do do not want to lose their jobs.”
“I am afraid that there is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”
-Booker T. Washington
That is an outstanding quote! Thanks for sharing it!
Oprah failed to fill the Rev’s coffers
Many ‘poor people’ have better health care coverage than many of the working folk I know including MYSELF.
“We be gettin’ ours, fool!”
That is your US Government thieves working on the behalf of their enablers.
This frog is ready to hop.
Nice McMansion.
Well that was nothing more than code words for Oprah to have guests on promoting the government run rationing of healthcare...It would really be ironic coming from one of the richest women in the world seems to me.
“am afraid that there is a certain class of race-problem solvers who dont want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”
We refer to these as Mathusan by Proxy psychotics.
Charity begins at home?
Another rant from a phony “Rev.”
