I hope some "pundant" gets back on this, just another of Obama's "firsts".

Every little controversy added to all the other controveries helps Obama to fail in implementing his extreme leftist agenda.

The more "flies" he is swatting at, the less time he has to push socializing everything.

I take it you’ve never had a Blackberry.

YOu’ll never know ... till AFTER he does his dirty work.

Obama is sneaky.

Obama lies.

Obama is ALWAYS up to no good.

Obama is a cockroach. He can’t stand the light.

Obama operates best in the dark because he is EVIL.

good point. I think there is some law requiring all communication to be preserved.

Obama’s Blackberry: Sara Palin’s private Yahoo! email account. Compare and contrast the MSM coverage of each.

I have a friend who was in army intelligence in Turkey during the 80’s. He said even back then that they were able to listen in on any phone conversations in the Soviet Union, and it was his job to surveil various phone and other communications. Now back then, it was mostly if not all landlines. Wouldn’t use of a presidential Blackberry be a SERIOUS security risk — if we can listen in, so can they!

Whoever issues the key material for the encryption device, will certainly be able to know what is going on. I’m sure every transmission is recorded.

There’s a convention going on in his blackberry.

That’s the reason he says “um and uh” so much.

If you could look into his earpiece you would
see Soros, Valerie Garrett, Rahm Emanuel, Nancy
Pelosi, Ezekiel Emanuel, Michelle, Van Jones,
Jim Jones, et al.)

Obummer is Charlie McCarthy. A dummy with a bunch
of hands up his butt.

Well, using a Blackberry in and of itself isn't that much of an issue. It is the 21st century after all, and such devices do have productive uses, and I can see how such a device would be of benefit to a leader - good or bad.

And as has been pointed out the SS/NSA got him a "secured" version. Someone has to have the keys to that. :)

As for a "paper trail" or "log" of communications, it would be possible to do. But I know of no requirement for every personal communication to aides and others, be recorded. Is some stenographer listening in when a president whispers an order in an aides ear?

I don't think so.

Should there be one? That's a slippery slope. Like it or not, some things have to be covered under executive privilege . Otherwise, overzealous attempts to restrict, or monitor such things will come back and bite a good president, and will be used by the left against them.

Be careful the double edged sword.

You can guarantee the Blackberry is tied to a Blackberry Server. The server will record and keep all records of communication (possibly not PIN to PIN) but anything else would go via the server. Some IT who speak Geekinese can probably enlighten us about the Pin to PIN since it bypass the server and goes device to device.
