i just called our school. two of the people i spoke to had not a clue what i was talking about. the third was the school district head honcho and also professed to not know anything about this address to public school students and also said that if it is live streaming on the net, our students will not watch due to bandwidth issues. if it is on t.v. some teachers may choose to have their classes watch, but it will not be mandatory. he said my call was actually the first he had heard of this. he sounded a bit bewildered by my call.

“Instead of keeping the kids at home parents should go to school WITH their children and make sure that the indoctrination doesn’t happen. That is exactly what I will be doing. I’ll sit in my child’s classroom during the address and any discussion and I will be prepared with facts and information to better inform the teacher and students as needed. Why run away when you can meet this head on. I’ll correct all of the misinformation given during the address and I’ll reach more than just my kid, I’ll reach the whole class.

German radio frequently broadcast speeches into the schools by Hitler and other NSDAP bigwigs. (I just read this in a history of the oppression of JWs.) I would expect this factoid shows up in other specialized histories of the Third Reich during its early years.

When my kids were in high school, Bob Dole (running for prez) was going to motorcade through our town. The band was asked to play, and the school blocked it.
I think I'll call and ask if they will deny obama's "address".
